Building Engineer Responsibilities & Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems.
- Inspect and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues.
- Manage HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Oversee building security and access control mechanisms.
- Monitor and log energy and water consumption metrics.
- Coordinate with contractors and other service providers for large-scale projects.
- Implement preventive maintenance programs.
- Ensure compliance with local and federal regulations.
- Respond to emergency situations, such as power outages or water leaks.
- Maintain and update maintenance logs and work orders.
- Assist in space planning and renovation activities.

Selection Criteria
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
- Experience in managing large-scale building projects
- Knowledge of advanced HVAC technologies
- Proficiency in building management systems (BMS)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities
- Ability to work on-call shifts and respond to emergencies
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Technical training in building systems or a related field
- Proven experience in building maintenance or engineering
- Proficient in using hand and power tools
- Good understanding of safety protocols and regulations
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams
Strong troubleshooting skills
- Physical ability to lift heavy items and work in various conditions
Valid driver’s license
